Dear Stonebrook Homeowners,

I hope this very odd and interesting situation is finding you all well and healthy. The Covid-19 Virus and has certainly turned many of our daily routines upside down. With schools closed and many being asked to stay home I have noticed a slight increase in pedestrian traffic in our beautiful neighborhood.  We are fortunate to have a good place to get some fresh air and get out of the house.

For my fellow neighbors with dogs, remember to keep them on a leash at all times. It can be tempting to let your pal run free for a short time but for the dog’s safety, as well as other people, keep them tethered. I have been surprised by the number of loose dogs I have encountered while walking my own dog.

With the weather warming up many of us are eager to get to work on our yards. I know I am. If you happen to be missing a tree or two in your yard be sure to get one planted this spring. We love our tree-lined lanes and hope to have at least one tree in the park strip in front of everyone’s house. Those with trees already in place give them a quick look over and make sure pedestrians can walk under them unhindered. (Idaho Falls says 8 feet clearance over sidewalks.) If you have an ash tree don’t forget to treat for ash bores. The local nurseries are a wealth of information on all things tree-related.

I wish you all a pleasant spring. With any luck, all health concerns will continue to move in a positive direction, and we can begin to resume our normal routines. We have postponed all Stonebrook HOA gatherings until further notice.

Kind Regards,

Michael Maloney, Stonebrook HOA President, and Stonebrook Homeowners Board Members
